I’m Connor, a BACP-registered, person-centred therapist offering online and phone counselling.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You might be feeling stuck, anxious, low, lonely, or finding that the ways you’ve been coping aren’t working as well as they used to. Or maybe it’s something more specific — grief, caring for someone, stress in relationships or family, expectations around masculinity, faith, or trying to make sense of ADHD or Autism.
My aim is to offer a collaborative, curious and non-judgemental space to explore what’s happening for you. Together, at your pace, we can look at what feels difficult, what you’ve been carrying on your own, and what might help things feel more manageable.
I offer a free 30-minute call so you can get a sense of me and see whether working together feels right. All sessions take place online or by phone, giving you flexibility and the option to talk from wherever feels most comfortable.
About Me

Before training as a therapist, I spent five years working in homelessness services, mainly supporting young adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, domestic abuse and social isolation. This work gave me an appreciation for how complex people’s lives can be and how to talk through difficulties in overwhelming circumstances.
I’ve since gained around three years of counselling experience, working with people facing a wide range of difficulties: anxiety, low mood, bereavement, relationship challenges, caring responsibilities, stress, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and neurodiversity. I’ve also worked in a bereavement service and a carers’ charity, which shaped my understanding of grief and emotional wellbeing.
These experiences — alongside my own lived experience of faith, masculinity, loss and neurodivergence — help me meet people with curiosity, openness and respect for the many different ways life can feel.
How I Work
My approach is person-centred, which means we go at your pace and focus on what feels most important to you. I see therapy as something we explore together — you bring your experience, and I bring curiosity, training, and a fresh perspective.
Sometimes I imagine the work a bit like being two guides going on a tour of you — you know the familiar routes, and I’m the fresh pair of eyes noticing things along the way. Together we might become aware of things like:
- places that feel uncomfortable to stay in
- patterns that keep repeating
- jumps or changes in direction
- parts of you that work differently (some pushing forward, others withdrawing, protecting or criticising)
Additionally, I’ll might offer observations for us to explore in the session — a theme, a feeling, a paradox, or a shift in tone or energy. Your responses — whether it fits, doesn’t fit, or sits somewhere in between — help us understand what’s true for you.
I also pay attention to what’s happening between us in the moment. At times, the dynamics that show up in the session can mirror patterns or feelings in other areas of your life.
All these methods are with the aim to help you understand yourself more fully, so you can find clarity, ease, or change in the areas that feel difficult.
The Sessions
Some people come for a short time to focus on a particular issue, while others stay longer to explore things in more depth — you’re free to choose what feels right, and we can review this together as we go.
Sessions last 60 minutes and are held online or by phone. There’s space at the beginning to settle in, and a few minutes at the end to reflect and close the session.
“What’s the first conversation like?”
During the free 30-minute call, we’ll talk about what you’re hoping for from therapy and any past theraputic experiences you’ve had. I’ll share a bit about how I work and how I imagine our sessions might look. You’ll also have space to talk while I listen and respond therapeutically, giving you a feel for what working together could be like.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session to get to know you and see if we are interested in working together.
